[His wings detract, clinking silently together as they unfold and spread out behind him. He pulls her against his chest, hugging her tight as he lifts off into the air. The flight is smooth, almost like a gliding jet, and much faster than usual. He uses his arms to shield her from the force.]
It'll be okay. No one will be able to start any of this crap out there, understand?
[His voice almost sounded a little off, but Ali didn't really think anything of it. He was in his other form, that happened sometimes. She was also too upset to even be that scared of it right now.]
[His voice is off; Warren's teetering a delicate line right now, and his emotions are taking over his control. He will not hurt her when his heart tells him that she is one of the strong and that she will survive this obstacle. The others are a different story. They should fear retribution.]
[He looks down at her, white eyes skimming the top of her head. He places his hand there, gently smoothing down her hair. His speed is still accelerating and he will protect her body even from the harm of the elements. His mission right now is to protect her, and will do only that.]
If I go too fast it can hurt. I don't want to cause you pain.
[He lowers his altitude to make breathing easier, but still accelerating, as said. They've reached the half way point, gliding over Illinois. He wouldn't be able to do this in his normal form, as Worthington was much weaker, and it was likely he would be exhausted once changed back. For now though, he is still comfortable and able to move]
[She's scared, really, really scared. She doesn't know what to expect from him when he's like this, and especially when he's talking like that. She is unsure if she can trust him.]
I didn't know you could go this fast.
[If she talks to him maybe he'll stop---speaking like that.]
The Archangels are fighters, but they're also guardians first and foremost. I swear to you, you don't have to be afraid.
[He holds her head closer to his chest to shield her; there is no way the force isn't straining her. He will not do what the other despicables have done; she has proved her strength to him time and time again, even holding strong when he could not.]
[He nods, spreading out his additional two wings to aide his body as he began burning more energy. They were only one state out now, and he could see the mountains easily with his vision. Again he begins to lower his altitude, flying straight toward the fog surrounding the plains of rock. The sun is nearly set, and he is satisfied with his timing. She will be safe.]
[He swoops down through the peaks and toward the small rows of houses spread amongst them. It takes him several more minutes to find his own, but he does, and lands smoothly on the large wrap around, wooden porch. He sets on her feet and lets her go carefully, giving her space to walk away from him.]

They're friends. After everything he said to me---they're friends.

I told you he wasn't worth your time anyways. You don't need to listen to any bullshit he wants to say.
