[Comes to a stop in front of her balcony, hovering in his Archangel form. He moves much faster in this form, and he is still angry as hell from the conversations on the network.]

...Ali?

[She doesn't even jump because she's just looking at the ground. She's standing on the edge of her balcony, just staring below.]

Hi.

[Her words don't make her look up.]

[He doesn't know if she wants to jump. It looks like it though, and it makes him uneasy. He hovers just a little closer and clears his throat.]

What are you doing out here?

Just standing around.

[He reaches out to her, retracting his claws into regular blue hands, and gives her a concerned look]

Let's go inside...

[She takes his hand slowly, only nodding.]

[He hangs on tightly, flying over the balcony and bringing her to him to lead her in]

That's it...we'll just go in and get some stuff, okay?

What about the X-men? And your work?

[Shakes his head]

Whatever. Doesn't matter.

Yeah, okay.

[She lets go of him and heads into her room to collect some things. She just can't believe Raven and Tony are friends after everything he told her.]

[He stands by the balcony door, fists clenched as he watches her move across the room. It's easy to see how upset she is, and it makes him madder at those bastards.]

We can go however long you want. I can easily make some calls.

I don't know how long.

[She finally comes back to him, bag in her fist. She really looks broken.]

I just---can't listen to that anymore.

[His face softens, and as much as he'd like to reach out to her, he doesn't. She probably needs her space right now, and he doesn't blame her]

Just turn your comm off. There's no rule saying you have to keep it on, and now is a pretty good enough reason to do it.

[She shakes her head.]

Some of the unconditional friendships around this place make me want to gag. Makes you wonder what kind of mindless morons we're stuck with here, huh?

[He frowns, knowing that being bitter toward them isn't helping Ali any, but Warren still can't help but speak his mind on the subject]

[She stops, turning her head away from him for a moment.]

[Stark is a pathetic creature. His worth is nothing anyways, and she should know this.]

[He steps back and opens the door, waiting for her to join him on the balcony.]

[She breathes in deeply before she joins him on the balcony.]

Okay. I'm ready.

[His wings detract, clinking silently together as they unfold and spread out behind him. He pulls her against his chest, hugging her tight as he lifts off into the air. The flight is smooth, almost like a gliding jet, and much faster than usual. He uses his arms to shield her from the force.]

It'll be okay. No one will be able to start any of this crap out there, understand?

Can you promise?

[The words are quiet and cracked.]

I promise. No one will hurt you.

[He holds her tighter, shoving back that sudden urge to fly down and go rip that demonic bitch apart]

[His voice almost sounded a little off, but Ali didn't really think anything of it. He was in his other form, that happened sometimes. She was also too upset to even be that scared of it right now.]

[His voice is off; Warren's teetering a delicate line right now, and his emotions are taking over his control. He will not hurt her when his heart tells him that she is one of the strong and that she will survive this obstacle. The others are a different story. They should fear retribution.]

[Okay, she's starting to get a little freaked out. Is she flying with Warren, or is she with Death?]

...Sure, okay.

[He looks down at her, white eyes skimming the top of her head. He places his hand there, gently smoothing down her hair. His speed is still accelerating and he will protect her body even from the harm of the elements. His mission right now is to protect her, and will do only that.]
